Windows 2012 R2 system tray: options window for "show hidden icons" -- "Customize..." isn't showing all programs to unhide icon and messages for

As the title says... I have a LOT of programs running... Really, a lot. Some of those programs generate a lot of messages (yellow pop ups) which is really annoying because it unhides my taskbar. So I manually select programs (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons) that should be fully hidden: no icon, no messages*

Anyways, if I click Customize..., the list shown does NOT show *all* possible programs!! I suppose I reached the max here? About half of the icons that are now hidden, should be visible. But I cannot set the options for them, because no matter how carefully I scroll the list, a lot of new programs just aren't visible :(

Below the list that is missing some programs... So I cannot set any (un)hide options for it! :(

If anyone has some ideas... I'd love to hear them! :)

Windows 2012 R2, fresh & clean install... No other problems found. Really seems like a bug? Confirmations appreciated :)

Peace!

* (if ONLY Microsoft made an option: show icon, hide messages... But no, only "show icon and messages" or "hide icon and messages" or "hide icon and show messages"... Dumb! For "show icon, hide messages" would be my default choice for many programs. And certainly NOT hiding the icon by default when I do not  wish to select "Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar"...)

Hi,

I made a lots of research with this problem but doesn't find any clue about Windows limitation of notification area icons.

It seems like a bug, but we do need more research with this problem. I also would post this issue to product team, hoping there is a feedback with it.

I agree :)

Where would should I post it too? It was hard to find a good place to put it... Where's the product team forum? :)

Up to now, there is no good place to post Windows 2012R2 (same with Windows 8.1) product problem for customer. However, in my opinion, if you have Windows 10 Technical preview in your hand, you can use this system to make a test, if it also had same problem, you can post your feedback through its built-in Windows Feedback. Microsoft product team is keep focus on customer feedback through this app.
